The African Fashion Week is an initiative to highlight other important and positive narratives of both the African continent and its diaspora community. There is more than just slavery, poverty, corruption or war to project about the continent, and that is why the African Fashion Week is a big deal. The organisers have been at it for ten (10) years already, and this weekend (Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August) promises to showcase some of the best the continent has to offer in terms of fashion.
